Tony Genovese

COOL 4 KIDS is a brand new project from experienced Adelaide teacher and musician Tony Genovese. Tony has been entertaining audiences of all ages for nearly 20 years. He is a registered school teacher who majored in music at teacher’s college, and has been a permanent specialist music teacher and classroom teacher in primary schools. Tony has brought ensembles of student musicians to many Nursing Homes, Kindergartens, Child Care Centres, churches and shopping arcades.

Tony has organized many music concerts, like the Riverland Catholic School’s Festival at the Chaffey Theatre in Renmark. A member of many original & cover bands, including PULSE & GIANT LEAP, Tony has performed at numerous community events. His original song ‘The Flame’ reached the final of SCALA’s FOOM song competition.

Now he has turned his attention to children’s music. Inspired by his own children, Tony has commenced writing a large amount of original children’s songs which he is currently in the process of recording on to CD. His original music touches on everyday experiences that children can easily identify with, evident in song titles like Colours, Playground, On My Bike and Let’s Dance. The rhythm and melodies of his music are catchy, fun and easy to sing and dance along to.

Tony's shows include the best songs from popular children's artists such as the Wiggles, Hi-5, Hooley Dooleys, The Fairies, Peter Combe and Bob the Builder. COOL 4 KIDS interactive performances provide numerous opportunities for children to be involved in singing, performing movement and actions, dancing, dressing up, playing instruments, using puppets, being leaders and listening and repeating activities.

Tony uses the guitar, keyboard, recorder and a huge variety of percussion instruments in his show. Many costumes and props are used to help maintain children’s high level of interest, interaction and entertainment. COOL 4 KIDS performances are mainly aimed at children aged 0-12 years old.
